Oh I’m obsessed with RESCENE, Glow Up and “Glow Up”. There were numerous songs I listened to on repeat last year, and “Pinball” was one of them.
I love this sweet, poppy, house vibe going on with their sound. It’s very much the same reason why I love Kep1er and fromis_9 so much. I can’t help but to hear both groups when I listen to this album.
When I started seeing teasers for Glow Up, I was curious to what this album would sound like. The visuals were cute. Love a good school concept because the schools I went to didn’t have that dark academia vibe to it. There’s something cool to me about schools that were all enclosed in one building, for the most part.
So that setting is always interesting to me. Plus, I love uniforms. Well, when they have something intriguing going on. These in “Glow Up” are a bit simple, but they’re still cute. I love the collars and big buttons on the white blazer/blouses in the thumbnail.
The khaki shirts are cute too. Again, I love the red ribbons and other hair accessories going on. And they have dark red and black socks to match!! But then they turn around, and they have these boy backpacks, and it adds to the look immensely.
There’s a scene in the music video where they’re in this all white, bubble, foam area, and they have white outfits to match the scene. I love these outfits. My second favorite look because of the textures going on here. That white, knotted flower top Woni (I think it’s her, lol) is wearing is so cute. I need it. I like the inclusion of that satin hat. At first, I thought it was one of those Lolita headbands. It works so well. Doesn’t look costumey at all.
My favorite look goes to the blue and sliver/gray look we see in the first chorus. I adore the layering and color choices here. The fur cuffs are adorable. I love the sliver sparkle details. I get a lot of Y2K, early 2000s inspiration here. Numerous accessories, those punk belts girls used to wear. So cute. I feel like the stylists were having fun. I don’t have much to say about the choreo, I like it. It’s not the main focus in “Glow Up”, which is fine.

I see A LOT of lalalastudio and 153/Joombas on here, and that’s why I like this album so much, lol. Some of my fave SM Entertainment songs have these peeps on it. And LDN Noise arranged one of the songs on here as well! Love that for us.
RESCENE is under THE MUZE Entertainment, so anyone with that following their names are people working directly under THE MUZE Ent. “Crash” is our first song on the album and I love it as the opener. It’s a slower paced song and the vocals are phenomenal. I think “Crash” works as both an opener and closer. Then we have “Glow Up” as our second song on the album. It’s a great set up for “Glow Up”. “Going On” is the third song, and it’s a perfect follow-up to “Glow Up”. Immediately it hooks you with the repetition of ‘going going going’. I love it. Probably my favorite b-side at the moment. It only took me 30 seconds to add “In my lotion“, song number four, to my Deep House Chill playlist. Although pretty much all of this album could be on there. I might add others on there as I listen to Glow Up more.
The fifth and final song is “Cotton Candy” and guess what? It slaps too. AHHHHHH we got another album to add to my favorites of 2025. “Cotton Candy” is relaxing like the previous songs, but it has this nice groove to it. They did the damn thing on this album. Shout out to everyone who worked on this. This entire thing is a major slay. I can’t wait to see what else RESCENE will release and do this year. I’ve added both this album and SCENEDROME to my next Amazon order. I gotta have the physicals. I’m officially casually stanning.
