And now it’s time for the second of three new articles this year for my end-of-the-year faves, music videos. Something I’ve thought about doing in the past, but never got around to it. So let’s get right to it. In no particular order…

Always – GFRIEND

I love behind-the-scenes videos. So GFRIEND having one paired with a lyric video was a match made in heaven for me. It looked like they had so much fun recording it and being back together. I can’t believe it’s almost a year since we got them all back together like this 😭. More on “Always” here and “Seasons of Memories”, here.

ExtraL – Jennie & Doechii

I still think “ExtraL” is a great song and music video. There’s something about Ruby that just gave us something that YGE would never, lmao. More on Ruby, here.

Baby, Not Baby – Seulgi

“Baby, Not Baby” visually is still one of my favorite things related to Red Velvet. As y’all know, I’ve covered just about every RV music video, and they were the topic of my first article on here. So I expect nothing but the best from any of them. The styling is really what keeps my attention throughout Seulgi’s chaotic antics in the video. Read more about my thoughts on Accidentally On Purpose here if you missed that one.

Come Over – LE SSERAFIM

Again, the styling takes it for me. I really love the music video for “HOT” as well. Big year for me to become a LE SSERAFIM fan.

Wait On Me – KAI

My favorite music videos are a mix of plot, styling, and choreo. “Wait On Me” is definitely on here because of the last one. You’re not going to get a Kai video and not have some of the best choreography in it. This man was born to dance. And while I do like the styling in the video, there’s nothing groundbreaking for me. But also, it’s Kai. Everything looks good on him. Annoyingly so, lol. More on Wait On Me and the title track of the same name, here.

Love Language – TXT

It will never not take me out with how sneaky TXT was with filming this while they were on tour in Europe. I love that for them and us. I might have to do a rewatch of older music videos to confirm, but LoLang has to be in my top 5 fave TXT music videos now. They look spectacular, I love all the scenes where they were dancing together.

The parts where one member was close to the camera and the remaining members were either dancing or doing something goofy in the background is my favorite recurring gag. The video just looks like the film crew tagged along on a Tubatu vaca. It’s refreshing and a nice break from all the lore heavy music videos they have, lol. I don’t have to be stressed out for in-universe TXT like in “Can’t You See Me” or “Beautiful Strangers”.

Bad Influence (Prod. by Pharrell Williams) – SEVENTEEN

I can’t believe my dreams of Pharrell and Timbaland Kpop collabs not only came true but happened to my favorite boy group. God is real and so good, y’all. If there’s one good thing to come out of this year, it’s that. Also S.Coups being Billboard’s number one artist of the year with all 13 members of the group clearing the top 13 spots. What legends!!! I love my team, love my crew fr fr.

Anyway, about the ACTUAL music video for “Bad Influence”. They look so cool in this video. Very high fashion.

My new motto for life.

“Bad Influence” is 80% SVT vibing along to the song, looking good, 10% lyrics to the song, and 10% SVT references like the logo made of desks.

Sickening. Pure, unfiltered swag 👨‍🍳😘. If I were ranking these, this would be in the top 3 fave videos of the year.

Lemon Drop – ATEEZ

“Lemon Drop” is such a crazy music video. Because what do you mean that one teaser image of the guy with the white tee and hand up the shirt was my bias, Seonghwa. SEONGHWA??? They want me dead, fr. Then Mingi bent over the car and they made that the thumbnail?!?!?!?! What goes on over at KQ Ent?!!! Thank you. Keep it coming.

Again, the boys look stunning. There’s sooo much going on in this video. It’s so easy to look away and miss something. I’m not sure what my favorite ATEEZ music video is. But “Wonderland”, “Inception”, “Say My Name” and “Lemon Drop” are easily in the top 5.

In Your Fantasy – ATEEZ

Nothing could have prepared me for my second bias, Yunho opening “In Your Fantasy”. I thought “Lemon Drop” was crazy and [redacted] on main. Then they go and drop this. Mind you, I was at the first concert, live performance of this song. This recent tour was actually crazy, btw. 20/10 recommend. I hope there’s a concert film of it.

There aren’t as many choreo scenes in this video compared to “Lemon Drop”, they just about saved it for the end, and I love that as the closer for the video.

Another flawless video from the teezers. Okay, one more ATEEZ video, and then I’m done talking about them (in this article).

Ash – ATEEZ

I love the music video for “Ash” because of this scene. Which is apparently everybody else’s favorite part too, as it’s the most replayed part, lmao.

I talked about this before, but I love when things are upside down and distorted, like in Kai’s concept film for Rover and there’s the part (during “Slidin'”) where the hotel room has gravity flipped and he’s dancing on the walls. Same reason I love mirrors in videos, like in “Bad Influence”. This part with San in “Ash” is so cool. The lighting and silhouettes, chef’s kiss.

They got the teezers wearing suits again and looking fantastic. Even though it’s kinda a depressing video. And Jongho is in a confessional.

Why do they keep making sad songs bops?

Anyway, on to the next video.

HUNTER – KEY

“HUNTER” slaps bro. I love music videos where the artist has an evil clone or doppelganger. It makes things so interesting plotwise. I’m a simple lass. That alone sells me on a video, movie, book, etc.

They will never make me hate you, Kim Kibum 💕💕💕💕.

if you wanna – WONHO

I can’t get over how crazy of a song this is either. It takes me out every time. Also, this dark cherry red on Wonho is my favorite non-natural hair color on him. I know I’ve been a dark blue Wonho truther, but I forgot how well red suits him too. Really I don’t think there’s a color on him I don’t like. His complexion is so versatile.

The TikTok videos really sold me on the song. I love the choreo during the chorus. Rewatching “if you wanna” I’m realizing this, “ExtraL” and “Bad Influence” have plenty of similarities, so no wonder these videos are on this list. I have a type, lmao. My favorite parts are the ones with Wonho dancing with the dancers in a line. Also when it’s just the ladies dancing. This video and song are too damn short!!

BIG VOID – Silica Gel

Flashing lights warning? A group new to me. I can’t stop thinking about how cool this music video is. It reminds me of the rock videos I would watch on MTV and FUSE as a kid. I love the artwork in an otherwise bland location.

The director really took the opportunity to edit and make this video more interesting in post-production and tie everything together beautifully. I still love the lyrics and drawings on the screen throughout the music video.

I’m so happy to have Silica Gel on my radar now.

Alright, and that’s it for my favorite music videos of 2025! What were y’alls fave videos of the year? Let me know on Twitter, Bluesky, & Instagram. I’m almost done with all these end-of-the-year articles! I hope y’all are enjoying them. I’ll see ya next article 🩷
