Finally got my signed box set album of Jennie’s Ruby and I had to share the unboxing of it with y’all. I don’t know how I forgot about it. I guess just with everything going on in the world. But when it arrived, I first thought it was part of my Urban Outfitters order I had placed… I be online shoppin’ .
I talked about how I was trying to come up with my upcoming list of articles for ATK. I have this weird bug on WordPress I’ve tried to get fixed on this account for years now where I have articles that were deleted, come back as drafts, so it looks like I have more articles than I actually do. It’s something odd with the drafts, and specifically the podcast articles. I’ve tried to fix it, but so far, nothing has worked.
So I had thought the Crayon Pop article was 300, but it actually wasn’t. Which is good because I wanted 300 to be on Jonghyun like how my 200th article was on him. Keeping tradition. So that’ll be the next article after this one. So with all that out of the way, let’s get into this Jennie album!

There were many options on Jennie’s site to get. I went with the signed box set for $40 ($58.64 after tax). I think Rosé’s was around the same pricing for her box set. But hers wasn’t signed.

This album box is huge. A 10x10x10 and I think I’ll probably store random Kpop related inclusions inside of it. I’m not sure how I’m going to store it on my Kpop shelf yet. Most likely on the bottom shelf with my books.

I will say the image quality of the box itself is a bit lackluster. I changed my camera settings on my phone (Motorola razr+ 2023) so the black looks darker. But the colors are very washed out. The shirt itself is a bright, vibrant red. I love it. I got it in a large. It is a little big and your typical like rough cotton concert shirt. I’m surprised because Rosé’s shirt is much softer. Maybe after a few washes, Jennie’s shirt will be softer.

I adore this photo chosen for the signature. It’s so pretty and matches the shirt I chose. There are a few shirt options you can chose from. I have a lot of black concert shirts, so when I saw the option to get a different color, I had to take it. I currently have this signed photo under my WOODZ concert banner on my wall.

The album itself is gorgeous. I love the matte material on the cover. It’s beautiful in person. I complained about the packaging for Solo in my Kpop haul video. Ruby totally picks up the slack. I think it was a “here, damn” moment from YG. You can tell much more care and detail was put into Ruby.

I’m happy to see photo cards in here. I haven’t looked at how many versions there are available. But these are super cute. I tried to get a different angle of the CD because the faint letters didn’t show up great in the other picture I got. But it also looks stunning.

This is breathtaking too. I never really know what to do with these. I really gotta get my Kpop space organized so I can display things like this better. It looks better on a white background, compared to my peach blanket (not sure why it looks tan in these photos, lol).
So overall, I think it was worth the price point. I’m happy with the inclusions. I have can repurpose the big box. The CD is Jennie only audio, which is disappointing, but we’ve known that’s the case. I’m almost exclusively listening to it on Spotify anyway, but in case something happens, I like having physical copies of my fave music. I try to put more effort for smaller groups and artists, but at this point, I need as much physical media I can get my hands on.
What are y’alls thoughts on this version of Ruby. Have you gotten a physical copy? What’s your favorite song from Ruby? Next up is article 300, finally talking about Jonghyun’s Poet | Artist. I’m so excited, but I know I’m going to be emotional while working on it . Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Threads, & BlueSky.
Take Care!
