We’ve finally reached the end of the first quarter of the year! It’s gone by fast and slow at the same time, lol. I’m incredibly excited for April. I’m seeing Kylie Minogue in about two weeks. The set list playlist is out from one of her Canadian stops, and I’ve started listening to it to get me ready for the show. And Rita Ora is her opener. I’m praying she performs “I Will Never Let You Down“. It’s my fave Rita song.

March was a pretty good and productive month for me. I think last month I posted the most articles I ever have in a month, 12. I knew March would be busy, but dang. That was much more than I realized. So I’m really happy about that. I don’t think I’ll have that many articles out this month, but who knows for sure. I hope y’all did some fun things last month, let me know what you did in the comments. It’s time to get into the tunes!

Baekhyun, UMI, EL CAPITXN – Do What You Do

Brooooo. I had no idea this collab was happening. I think I just saw it in the what’s new section on Spotify and I haven’t stopped listening to it since it’s dropped. I love it so much. I haven’t actually listened to much UMI, but now I’m going to check out more of her music.

At this point, I should just expect to be completely absorbed into whatever Baekhyun releases. It’s gonna be a hit. It’s gonna be on replay in my house. Easily one of my fave songs of the year.

INFINITE – LIKE INFINITE

I remember my first listen of this album being on my way to The Container Store to pick up an order, lol. I listened to “Umbrella” right before I turned my car off to go inside. They told me they’d bring my order out to my car because it was kinda big.

So I started my car up again, pulled up to the entrance, and realized I wanted to start “Umbrella” over because I was really enjoying it. I ended up listening to it for a third time after I got my order and was driving off to my next errand.

I can’t get the melodies and harmonization going on in this song out of my head. LIKE INFINITE is a superb album. It’s pretty consistent with their previous like two albums. I like the title track “Dangerous” but “Umbrella” is that girl for me.

GENBLUE – Slow Down

I didn’t care much for the rest of this EP, but “Slow Down” is fantastic. I didn’t know who GENBLUE was, so shout out to the goat Kprofiles. I see they’re a Taiwanese group, and this is their Korean debut. I’m curious to how much/long they’ll promote in Korea.

I saw one of the members is Korean and they have another who is Taiwanese and Japanese, so I’m guessing they’re going to promote in Japan as well at some point. I’ll be keeping an eye out for them. See what else they have under their sleeves.

Jennie – Ruby

I’ve talked in depth about my love for Ruby, here already. Friday, I’ll have my album unboxing article up. I received it in the mail, last Friday? I think. But yeah, Ruby is one of my favorite albums of 2025. I’ve listened to it countless times throughout March. It just keeps getting better with every listen.

Yeji – AIR

Still got AIR on repeat as well. I’m still undecided on if “Invasion” or “258” is my favorite song from the album. But you can read my review here, if you haven’t seen my thoughts on this album and song yet.

Seulgi – Accidentally On Purpose

I haven’t come back to this album yet since my review, but I do still love it. There’s so much good music releasing at the same time. It’s great, but something is going to fall through the cracks. I think as I get a bit burnt out and need a refresh, I’ll come back to this one.

The Deep – Make Up

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH my new favorite The Deep song. I was listening to “Muah!” for like two years before really diving into more of her music. So “Make Up” feels like the natural progression to “Mua!”. I love the styling and hair and makeup in the music video.

The scene of her in full Gyaru dancing in the toy aisle is great. If you love house music, this has to be in your playlist. Such a banger. You won’t be disappointed.

SAY MY NAME – My Name Is…

I enjoyed this mini more than I thought I would. Along with Seulgi’s album, I really enjoyed this one as well, but I haven’t revisited it much. I don’t have a fave song from the album yet, but I think after a few more listens I’ll have something pinned down.

LE SSERAFIM – HOT

Oh man, what a cute collab music video. I love the styling and 60s imagery used in the music video for “Come Over”. When I wrote my Quick Thoughts on HOT, it wasn’t out yet. Another album I haven’t gone back to yet, but now “Come Over” is stuck in my head, so I’ll totally be listening to this album more in April.

Baekho – Off Road

Baekho finally released a song I like!!! Let’s gooooo. I think it’s his last under Pledis/HYBE. So I’m glad he’s going out with a banger. “Off Road” feels like something off his debut mini album, in a good way. I hope his next release goes back to basics like this one.

STAYC – BEBE

I wished I liked the b-sides on S more. But “BEBE” is wonderful. Looooove the green Sprite look. I’m loving the Ballroom House trend right now in Kpop.

j-hope – MONA LISA

I wasn’t expecting to really like anything j-hope (has it really been lowercase this whole time, and I’m fake ARMY? Lmaoooo) released post-Jack In The Box. I’m so attached to Hope World and nothing else from him as topped or felt as good for me. But this feels like him getting back to his R&B roots.

So I love that. I was tellling my mom about how generic this song is. How he isn’t really saying anything besides him liking pretty girls. Like at least we knew T-Pain was interested in a girl with “Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur” and “baggy sweatpants with the Reebok with the strap”.

I get j-hope is purposely leaving it vague, but it feels a bit hollow at the same time. Catchy song, love the choreo focused music video in an art museum. Also there were no girls in the music video. Feels like a missed opportunity to have some girls of different backgrounds in art frames or something. We’re already in a museum. Idk…

TEN – STUNNER

There’s a lot of ‘getting back to roots’ and male soloists making music similar to what I liked previously from them. I almost made a QT on STUNNER, but it would have been so close to this article releasing. So I decided against it. But I looooove “STUNNER”.

The English version too. Congrats to Ten for his first-ever music show win today, btw. It’s well deserved. Arguably overdue, lol. I hope this shows SM that the people love and want Ten (and WayV, but I’m trying to keep it focused more on Mr. Ten,lol), so market him more!!

Looking at Discogs, I don’t see any familiar faces who worked on this, who have worked on other SM releases I adore. So I think that’s a good sign. Changing things up a bit. Not that Ten has really strayed from R&B, it’s more of the type of R&B I like from him, we’re going back to. Obviously, there are different types of R&B, just like there are different types of Rock.

I keep talking about how “Shadow” is my current fave Ten song, and “STUNNER” feels like a perfect follow-up to it. Looking on Genius to see if there was a connection there, and no. But I didn’t know the baes Jiselle and Xydo wrote the lyrics and Xydo do the backing vocals (and vocal director). How iconic.

The only song off the album I’m not crazy about is “BAMBOLA”. That’s for the “Paint Me Naked” and “Birthday” girlies, I think. “Sweet As Sin” and “Butterfly” were fine, I think they’ll grow on me more later on. But I don’t see me becoming a “BAMBOLA” girl ever, lol.

Xdinary Heroes – Fight Me

My faaaave from Beautiful Mind. Probably my second favorite Xdinary Heroes song after “Pluto“. Again, if you’ve like anything these guys have released, you’ll love this as well. The vocals, instrumentals, everything is a 10/10. I’m jealous of everyone seeing them at Lolla, that’s gonna be such a vibe.

Stray Kids – Truman

Hands down, the best song off Mixtape: dominATE. The only song I like really… Idk what’s with me and SKZ. Every couple of albums they’re just on a wave and I’m not feeling the music for an ablum or two, then we get back on track for a couple more albums. We’re currently at the start of that cycle.

But “Truman”, maaann it hits hard… Well after the first 40 seconds. I don’t like the choppy flow at the beginning. But once Felix’s second raps starts, it’s game over from there. I can’t wait to hear this live.

aespa – Whiplash (English)

How do you make “Whiplash” better? You can’t, but you can make an English version of it. “Whiplash” was already on repeat, and now we got it in English, and I’m obsessed with it all over again.

Beomgyu – Panic

Last but not least, “Panic” is such a fantastic song. I love a rock TXT moment. I also talked about this in depth a few days ago. I’ll also do an unboxing of this album/mixtape when my order arrives. The packaging looks so good. And I can’t wait for more TXT member solos.

What were y’all listening to in March? Let me know in the comments! Next up will be the Jennie Ruby album unboxing. I posted a teaser on Twitter for it. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Threads, & BlueSky btw. I post blog updates on there along with other shenanigans I’m up to during the week. I’m trying to post slightly different content on Bluesky and Twitter. Anyway, I hope y’all have a good day, night, or whatever when you’re reading this.

Take care!
