Austin, TX — October 2, 2024 — GRAFF RECORDS, a prominent player in the K-pop industry, is proud to announce its official membership with the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM). This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in GRAFF RECORDS’ efforts to deepen its presence in the U.S. market, expanding its distribution network and promotional reach for K-pop artists across the country.

As part of its ongoing mission to elevate the global influence of K-pop, GRAFF RECORDS operates THE UNIT LABEL, a sub-label in collaboration with Orchard NY. Through this partnership, GRAFF RECORDS has spearheaded the planning and distribution of high-profile releases, including notable collaborations like (G)I-DLE & R3HAB’s “TOMBOY” and VIVIZ & Yves V’s “BOP BOP!”. These releases have solidified GRAFF RECORDS’ role in delivering customized distribution solutions that support K-pop’s expansion into international markets.

By joining A2IM, GRAFF RECORDS becomes part of a vibrant community of over 600 independent record labels, united in amplifying diverse voices within the U.S. and global music industry. This partnership further underscores GRAFF RECORDS’ commitment to expanding K-pop’s footprint and developing innovative promotional strategies, distribution channels, and artist development opportunities tailored specifically for the U.S. market.

“We are thrilled to join A2IM and look forward to leveraging this partnership to provide even greater support for K-pop artists as they make their mark in the American music scene,” said Adrian Harris, Vice President of GRAFF RECORDS. “This collaboration not only connects us with other independent labels but also with industry leaders, offering invaluable opportunities for our artists to thrive.”

Taeon Yoo, Director of APAC at GRAFF RECORDS, added, “We’ve successfully established a global distribution network that spans Korea, London, and the United States. Partnering with experienced PR teams, we’ve secured multiple distribution channels, which will enable K-pop artists to have an even stronger presence in the U.S. market.”

A2IM plays a pivotal role in advocating for the rights and interests of independent music labels across the U.S., both in terms of market influence and policy representation. As a member, GRAFF RECORDS will actively contribute to and benefit from collective efforts aimed at enhancing the value and impact of independent music globally.

This venture intrigues me, a lot. I’ve talked quite a bit about my desire for more accessibility of Kpop in the US off and on for some years now. So when I saw this in my email, I had to share this with y’all on here. I’m definitely going to keep an eye on this. What are y’alls thoughts? Let me know in the comments. Also, how’d I miss there’s a remix to “BOP BOP”? And it’s great 💃🏾. Check out A2IM and GRAFF RECORDS on Twitter/X.
