If you follow me on Twitter (or Bluesky). You saw me talking about my top artists and songs of 2024 already. But I think it’s interesting to talk about in an article. It’s always slightly off because I don’t just solely listen to Kpop. And when it comes to my Spotify listening habits, unless I’m in the car or working out, I don’t really listen to it that much. I usually have YouTube on in the background.

So when it came to my most listened to song, it was only 21 times. Which is pretty low when I see people like one of my best friend’s who normally has songs in the hundreds even shortly after release. I’m the type of person who will listen to a song 3-4 times in a row, max. And maybe 6 times a day if I’m going into work, and then on the drive home.

Now that I’m back to working from home, I’m not in the car nearly as much as I was earlier in the year. So next year, I think I’ll have to make more of an effort to listen to Spotify at home outside of working out and working on articles for ATK. But that’s a problem for future Ash.

So this is how it’s gonna work. I’m going to format this as I would with my fave songs of the year articles. But this isn’t a replacement for that. I typically listen to the same like 3 or 4 playlists, so this list is nowhere near as accurate to what I listened to in Kpop this year. A lot of songs on my list released in 2023, 2019, and later.

And when it comes to girl groups, I listened to Nayeon’s album quite a bit (for me, I guess), but not like 20 something times I guess to beat out WOODZ, lol. So let’s start with my Spotify images:

I don’t think TXT being my top artist this year is a surprise to anyone who’s been following me on Twitter or keeping up with the blog. I feel like I’ve been in the top listeners for most of my favorite groups at least once. Last year I think it was SEVENTEEN, TWICE in 2023, and Stray Kids in 2022. I think ATEEZ was my 2021 one. That’s as far as I remember off the top of my head. Maybe next year will be Enha as my top artist.

I really love what TXT has been releasing over the last year, and I’m still devastated I couldn’t see them this year when they came to Atlanta, but the MOA still jumped out.

“Amnesia” was one of the last songs WOODZ released before his enlistment and because the release was so close to my concert, it was on replay for a good chunk of the year.

24.) Moonlight – NCT DREAM

I talked about my love for this song leading up to my NCT DREAM concert in my Songs I Didn’t Care About Until I Saw NCT DREAM Perform Them Live article. But on my first listen to this song, I was HOOKED.

Kinda new this one would be on this list even though I only discovered it in September, 😅.

23.) Smoke – Jaehyun

The first of many Jaehyun appearances on this list, sorry not sorry. This makes a lot of sense. I expected it to be higher up the list, but I did listen to both the English and Korean version a lot so that probably must up the numbers a bit.

22.) Deja Vu (Anemoia Remix) – TXT

… THERE’S A LYRIC VIDEO TO THIS?? Wtf how’d I miss that? Anyway, “Deja Vu” being on here is craaaazy. But I love this rock version so much. I need to hear both this and the original live. It’s sooo good.

21.) Overdrive – NND

Ah yeah, “Overdrive” was a hidden gem I discovered early in 2024. Still just as addicting on this listen as my first listen.

I thought I was following them on social media, but I guess not. So now I’m following them on Twitter and Instagram. And I’m still waiting on the follow-up EP. Maybe we’ll get more music in 2025 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾.

20.) dOpamine – OnlyOneOf

Not me completely forgetting this song released this year. It’s been a long ass year, huh? I didn’t love “dOpamine” on my first listen much. But it really grew on me more overtime. I didn’t listen to OOO as much this year. Like actively reaching for them, but I do still love them. I’m looking forward to what 2025 for OOO brings.

19.) Facetime – A.C.E

I love this song. I’m still obsessed with it. This era had me deep in CHOICE land. Embarrassingly, I haven’t listened to “Piñata” yet as of writing. But I wasn’t nearly in love with “Supernatural”, “Anymore” or “Just Better”. So I’m hopeful that “Piñata” will bring me back to A.C.E, but I’m not holding my breath.

18.) My World – ILLIT

Another banger. I wasn’t expecting to love ILLIT’s debut album as much as I did. “My World” is definitely my takeaway song from the album.

17.) Superconductor – SF9

I’m so disappointed we didn’t get a solo album from Dawon sounding like this song before he started his military enlistment. But I’m hoping once he’s back we’ll get more music like this.

16.) SUPERWOMAN – UNIS

Some of these songs I’ll be speed running through because I know I’ve talked about them in fuller depth on the blog already. I think I’m behind also on their music because I know they had a comeback, but I don’t remember if I heard it and liked it or if I heard it and didn’t like it, so I put it out of my mind.

Anyway, “SUPERWOMAN” is such a fantastic choice for a debut song. I crank this up in the car and sing along to it.

15.) Easy – Jaehyun

I have NO idea how this song is so low on this list. I know I listened to this song a crap load more. Maybe this was one of those I only listened to 15 times or something since release, lol. But if you’ve read anything from ATK in the last four months, you know how obsessed I am with this song and album.

14.) UNKNOWN – NCT DREAM

Another track I’ve talked about excessively over the last couple of months. I’m back in my czennie-dreamies era. Them placing second in my top artists list makes this painfully obvious, lmao.

13.) Impossible – RIIZE

Bro, this entry on the list is so sad. I was just starting to think I was going to add RIIZE to my casual list. But then the boycott happened (is still happening as of writing) so I immediately stopped listening to it. I think if it wasn’t for that, this one would totally be higher up.

12.) Your Eyes Only – ENHYPEN

Now, this one is a grower, similar to “Impossible”. I think by this time next year, it’ll be much higher up my Spotify Wrapped. I’m addicted to this song.

11.) RUSH – TWICE

This was such a long year, what do you mean this was early 2024??? It feels so long away. “Rush” has easily cemented itself as one of my favorite TWICE songs ever. I’m excited to see what Strategy brings us.

10.) Can’t Get You – Jaehyun

I think I said in my J review that “Can’t Get You” is my second favorite song on the album. I still feel the same about it. Still listening to it a lot. Still love it a lot.

9.) SAUCY – SISTAR19

Omggg I listened to this song so much spring summer 2024. It’s so good. It reminds me a little of “Fruity” featuring Kisum. I gotta do a fave SISTAR (full group and solo) songs article in 2025.

8.) Deja Vu  – TXT

Now we’re starting to see the top artists seeping into the list. I remember feeling conflicted about “Deja Vu” as a TXT title track. But it’s a sleeper. I wasn’t expecting to be as eager to listen to it as much as I do now. Like I knew I would, but it doesn’t feel like a title track I’d be obsessed with. It must have been those “so gay” and other “Deja Vu” era memes that got to me.

7.) LIGHTHOUSE – TEMPEST

Oh maaaan I was bumpin this A LOT earlier this year. I love it. I was hoping to get more TEMPEST songs like this that would bring them into my casual list. But I wasn’t crazy about their follow-up. I haven’t checked in with them since Road To Kingdom, so I should check that out. But highly underrated track.

6.) icantfeelanything – NCT DREAM

I’m such a silly rabbit. I should have known when this dropped, I was going to be back in my dreamies era again. I have so much love for this song and this era. I’m locked in fr.

5.) Miracle – TXT

Of course, my girl “Miracle” is on here. And this high up. Easily one of my favorite TXT songs now. It’s so good. I love a TXT rock moment. Another one I blast in the car.

4.) The Killa (I Belong To You) – TXT

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I’m done. So I saw this tweet yesterday talking about OP’s surprise that “The Killa” wasn’t this album’s “Tinnitus”. And at first I thought, “Eh it doesn’t really hit the same with the fandom I think”.

But thinking about it more, and seeing how much in hindsight that I listened to it, according to Spotify, maybe we just haven’t seen its impact yet. We didn’t really know how much ifans loved “Tinnitus” until Lollapalooza. Sure, there were some TikToks with it, but I think Lolla really set the tone. So I say give it until TXT’s next festival performance. Then we’ll see. But I would hate “The Killa” get “Red Lights” treatment and become a full group song after the company realized how popular it was with fans.

Hell yeah, I love “BOX” so much. This album is soososos good. But now I’m crunchy because where tf is “Poison” on this list??? I know for damn sure I was listening to that in between “BOX” and “icantfeelanything”. Spotify… what’s good?? 🔫🔫🔫

What can I say, ya girl loooves House music. I’m praying for a LDN Noise X TXT track in 2025. We need it. The streets need it. Deep House/EDM needs it. Getting started on my Kpop 2025 wishlist early here, lol.

1.) My Girl – A.C.E

Yes, the song that brought me back to A.C.E. I remember playing this song like 5 times a row so I’m not surprised this was my “number one” Kpop song of 2024 according to my Wrapped. I love this song and music video so much. I was hoping they were going to release more songs like this and “Facetime”. But I’m hopeful I’ll have more A.C.E music I like next year.
