Somehow this year’s Wrapped is more deranged than last year’s, lol. I wanted to have ENHYPEN be my top group because, out of my ‘fave boy groups’, they haven’t been number one yet. Instead, &TEAM, a group I only started taking seriously in September, was…lmao. Not the rivals, not the WEREWOLVES. Sunghoon’s gonna beat my ass 😰.
The way Enha isn’t even in the top 5 🙈. The only song of theirs that songs ranked on my list was at 68, and that was “I Need The Light”, a banger song, btw. So I dropped the ball hard. But my most listened-to song was 32 times. Up from 21 last year. I listened to fewer minutes of music this year. Last year it was 24,106. I love that this year you can see how many times you listened to your top songs compared to previous years. This year also introduced your top albums, FINALLY. They really did make up for that AI bullshit last year.
As usual, concerts greatly impacted the list. I saw everyone in my top artists live except for &TEAM. My top albums kind of reflect this.
The funny thing is that I knew pretty early in the year that Yukiakari was going to be on my honorary album of the year list because it was released in December of 2024, so for me that’s considered late to be in rotation for the year. So I added it to my fave albums list of 2025 back in January, around the time of GOT7’s Winter Heptagon and “Extraordinary Day” released in February.
But I really wasn’t expecting to fall into the &TEAM rabbit hole as hard as I did this year. I’m having a great time. I think the discovery of Psychic Fever and f5ve really helped me get back into Jpop. Then &TEAM being a global group with Japan as their home base just worked out perfectly timing wise. It’s almost like the British invasion of the early 2010s with One Direction but at a much smaller level for me personally.
So let’s get into it. Starting with my most listened to top 25 songs NOT released in 2025. So 2024 onwards. A lot of these songs released in 2024 and before.

Samidare – &TEAM
If you were to ask me my favorite &TEAM song, it would be “Koegawari” as of writing. I love the horns, it’s an upbeat song (vibe and tempo wise). It just hits. However, most of my &TEAM listening this year was in the car, and I just put all the songs of theirs that I liked on shuffle and listened to everything for days at a time. So as I got more familiar with their music, more songs I would reach for more than others. Like “Feel the Pulse” having 8 listens is so funny because now I would likely skip it. But “MISMATCH” has the same amount of listens, and I like that one more.
That being said, “Samidare” absolutely hits like crack in the car. Speakers up, windows down, sunroof open, I’m blasting it. And putting it on replay, a lot, lmao. So I’m not surprised to see it being my most listened to song this year when I think about it more. I just expected it to be “Lemon Drop” by ATEEZ or a Kai (EXO) song like “Flight to Paris”. Which speaking of the 2025 releases, let’s get to my top 25 songs according to Spotify.

25.) Heartbreak Time Machine – &TEAM
I think most of my Back to Life streams are from the Weverse listening parties. Same with The Name Chapter: Together. I like this one, but it wasn’t one I was reaching for.
24.) Dance With You – Kai solo (TXT)
So I was actually working on the article for this album before I switched over to this one. I will have that out soon. My thoughts have changed greatly since my first couple of listenings and seeing the performances for all the songs live. So I’ll save more in depth thoughts for that article. But “Dance With You” slaps and I hope Kai releases more music in different genres like this.
23.) Rush – &TEAM
I think so far the order that these BTL songs are in is accurate to my preference. I don’t listen to “Rush” much, but I do like it more than “Heartbreak Time Machine”.
22.) Beautiful Strangers – TXT
Seeing “Beautiful Strangers” performed live and Stockholm Syndroming myself into liking the song has changed my view on it. It’s still probably my second least favorite title track of TXT’s and my least favorite song on Together. But if it comes on shuffle, I may or may not skip it depending on my mood.
21.) Bird of Night – Taehyun solo (TXT)
My favorite solo song off Together. I couldn’t wait to see Taehyun perform it live. So I’m shocked that it’s ranked so low. I felt like I was listening to it much more, lol. What I think is listening to something ‘a lot’ isn’t much in hindsight, lol.
20.) View – SHINee (ScreaM Records Remix)
I told y’all this song would be on replay for me (pun intended). I love this remix and I’m happy it was chosen to be on this SM compilation album since it’s the 10-year anniversary of its release.
19.) Walls Don’t Talk – Kai
When I say seeing Kai this year was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to ever, I really mean that. It was such a blast and reiterated my love of his music and of him as a performer and musician. “Walls Don’t Talk” is such a fantastic song. I’ll be gushing about it more over the next couple of weeks on the blog.
18.) Step by Step – TXT
Easily my favorite Japanese song TXT released this year. It’s so catchy and I love Yeonjun and Kai’s raps in the song. I was giddy to see it on Starkissed. I would have had a meltdown if it wasn’t on there.
Songs 17-13 I listened to 10 times ✨
17.) Lunatic – &TEAM
Yeah, I think it’s fair to say “Lunatic” is my favorite b-side from BTL. I would have thought “MISMATCH” (8 listens) and “Who Am I” (didn’t rank in my top 100) would have placed higher. But as I mentioned earlier, most of my listens were from listening parties. I only remember listening to BTL like twice in my car so far since its release 😅. I’ve mostly been listening to older &TEAM songs on shuffle mixed in with other saved songs I have on Spotify.
16.) Love Language – TXT
I finally pushed through that Yeonjun part I didn’t like 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Lololol I knew it would grow on me eventually. Love this song and music video so much.
15.) Wait On Me – Kai
I don’t think this one is a surprise to anyone who’s been keeping up with ATK this year. I have so much love for this song and album. The more time that goes by, the more Wait On Me becomes my favorite Kai album.
14.) TIDAL WAVE – GOT7
At the start of the year, and I think in my intial review of Winter Heptagon, I had said “Remember” was my favorite b-side and maybe even song. Then I spent the rest of the year alternating between this and “PYTHON”, lol.
“TIDAL WAVE” is so chill and catchy. I need to hear it live. GOT7, PLEASE tour the US again after everyone’s completed their military enlistments.
13.) PYTHON – GOT7
And speaking of queen “PYTHON”, this is another one I would have thought I listened to more. So so good. Still sounds just as fresh and addicting as the first time I heard it. I’m still in love with Mark and Jackson’s raps. Each line and the way the members deliver it feels like a rush of blood to the head. I start singing my favorite parts and I end up singing the song from start to finish. What a comeback.

12.) Sunday Driver – Soobin solo (TXT)
No shade, but “Bird of Night” should be here. I do remember it popping up on shuffle quite a bit when I was driving this year. And I think on my way to see TXT (and my drive home) I listened to it a lot… So that must be why it’s this high up. Also…Soobin’s voice live the first couple of seconds of this song go craaaazy. I think it had to do with him initially speaking English for his intros… Yeah… wow…anyway.
11.) Take My Half – Beomgyu solo (TXT)
Yeah, this tracks. No complaints here. Of course my man’s song is gonna be relatively high on this list. I wish he also performed “Panic” in Atlanta, but it’s all good. I like “Take My Half” a tiny bit more.
10.) Upside Down Kiss – TXT
So… Opposite complaint with myself, I listened to “Upside Down Kiss” this many times? 11? It felt like 4 or 5 times max? Similar to “Sunday Driver” I think most of my listens were around the time of my TXT show and randomly on shuffle in the car.
9.) Masterpiece – ATEEZ
Crazy song. CRAAAAZY song. How do you open up a song with “Take it, take it, take it all honey.” Then ask, “Can I do it? Right into the night baby.” What the hell is wrong with them? All freaked out, omgggg. That being said, I adore this song. Not surprised at its placement at all. I was blasting this song any time it came on.

8.) Ghost Girl – Yeonjun solo (TXT)
I instantly loved the music video for “Ghost Girl”. I love London and I want to go back so badly. Plus I’d love to see other parts of the UK. However I wasn’t completely sold on “Ghost Girl” on my first like two or three listens. Then, idk if it was during one of the listening parties or what, but it clicked.
I was obsessed with the song and I remember thinking to myself before the show, “Man, I can’t wait for “Ghost Girl” live”. Like girl… HELLOOO?? What about Taehyun and Beomgyu??? LOLOLOLOL. I did have a great time with it live (like all their solos and group songs, TXT is my third favorite group right now behind TWICE and SEVENTEEN). So another placement that makes complete sense.
7.) Run Wild – &TEAM
What a good ass song. I’ve spent most of 2025 listening to &TEAM’s music, not really keeping up with all the music videos, except for BTL stuff. So this is the first time I’ve watched this video start to finish. I’ve seen some clips of it in TikTok edits. I went on a slight hunt to figure out why this song reminded me so much of ENHYPEN’s “Brought the Heat Back” besides the parallel/concept connections with the two groups.
Turns out Cirkut, one of the producers for multiple ENHYPEN songs, worked on “Run Wild” and “Brought the Heat Back”. Not too surprising because, as I’ve pointed out on ATK, a lot of these producers, especially within the same agencies, (in this case, both HYBE groups) work on multiple songs for the same group or soloist. And once they get that relationship with an agency, I think it’s easier to get more work with them. But I felt so validated in my musical ear to catch it and be right 💁🏾♀️.
6.) Wolf Type – &TEAM (13 times)
I think “Wolf Type” was the start of the &TEAM spiral. I was immediately hooked on this, and I needed to hear more (relisten to their previous music and get on the &TEAM train).
5.) Back to Life – &TEAM (16 times)
Like with “PYTHON” if I start talking about my favorite lines, we cover the entire song. It’s super catchy and everyone’s vocals are utilized so well. I really enjoy the choreo too. I think I’ve seen every dance challenge they’ve posted.
4.) Lemon Drop – ATEEZ (17 times)
I was so convinced “Lemon Drop” would be my most listened to song, and it probably would have been if it wasn’t for the meddling kids and their dog (&TEAM). That being said, I knew it’d be for sure top 5. Banger song. Brought me back to ATEEZ. Mega earworm. I rewatch them performing it drunk (probably my favorite version). Yeah. I just love it so much. One of their best songs ever. Hands down.
3.) Flight to Paris – Kai (17 Times)
I’m not sure why some of these that have the same amount of listens are ranked higher than others. Like is it based on what song was listened to first, and the algorithm predicts which you’re likely to listen to again or something?
I totally remember listening to both these albums (GOLDEN HOUR Part 3 and Wait On Me) back-to-back during my workouts. So it makes sense they’d have similar listening times.
2.) Extraordinary day – &TEAM (20 times)
Baaaaanger. The catalyst of it all. I love when &TEAM is on their light/bright concept shit. Another addicting, catchy song I think everyone should hear, lol.
1.) Go in Blind – &Team (24 times most listened to 2025 release)
OMG, look at Jojo in the thumbnail 🥰🥰🥰. I didn’t realize I had listened to “Go in Blind” this much. I love the song, but it’s not my favorite from this album. I think this is another situation like “Samidare” where when I had all of &TEAM’s songs on shuffle, “Go in Blind” popped up a lot, and I was good with it, lol.
And that’s what my Spotify Wrapped looked like this year. I think my top songs of the year (the ones I chose the rankings of) will be much more interesting and diverse, lol.
