A slightly different take on my Best/Worst Posts.

I do a lot of experimenting over here on AshTalksKpop. After going back through and checking out new Kpop releases in October, I released there were a lot of songs I enjoyed this month. September was kind of a dud for me.

But I strongly feel October made up for that. I have a huge line-up of music reviews on the way. So, I want to quickly let y’all know about 5 singles (no mini albums) that I enjoyed from this month.

REFUND SISTERS – DON’T TOUCH ME

I remember seeing reports about a super girl group with Uhm Junghwa, Lee Hyori, Jessi, and Hwasa back in July. I didn’t pay too much attention to it. I figured if it happen, I’d check it out, but I wasn’t one of the fans demanding it to happen.

And after watching “Don’t Touch Me”, I really enjoyed it. It’s a song I think the more I listen to it, the more I like it. I love heist plots in music videos. I like the styling in the video as well. I didn’t have any specific looks to mention here, though.

Yezi – Mimew (미묘)

I’ve been a Yezi fan for years. I’m happy to hear more music from her. I feel like she’s been a bit quiet lately, but it’s probably because I don’t follow her on IG anymore. Not for any bad reasons, just clearing out the feed.

But I don’t think I’ve missed any other releases from her. I liked the use of animation in this video, and I felt it was very Yezi. She has a distinct sound and look that’s difficult for me to describe other than Yezi. She’s super underrated, so if you haven’t checked out any of her music, I highly recommend it.

HINT – Eh Oh

I’m not sure why, but they don’t have an official music video for this bop. I love the resurgence of retro music in Kpop. This is another one of those songs.

It reminds me a lot of old school Kpop. It’s super catchy and I can’t wait for more music from them. This is my second favorite song on this list. I can’t stop listening to it.

MAMAMOO – Dingga

My favorite song of the bunch. My favorite things are all here. Retro set and clothing, check. Roller rink, check. Upbeat dance track, check.

Catchy earworm song, check. I was and still am obsessed with this song. I prefer this one over “AYA”. I haven’t listened to the rest of Travel yet. I just had to mention “Dingga” though.

B1A4 – Like a Movie

My favorite plot related music video on this list. I loveeeeeed “Sweet Girl” when it first came out. That’s a straight Kpop classic. I don’t care what ANYONE says. If “Sweet Girl” isn’t in your top like minimum 50 all-time favorite Kpop songs, you gotta reevaluate your list.

I’ll give you a pass if you’re a new Kpop fan. You probably missed it if you weren’t hanging around in 2015. Anyway, back to “Like a Movie”. I feel like this is almost like a sister song to “Sweet Girl”. The scenery in this video is worth watching alone.

What were some of y’all’s favorites singles released in October? Don’t worry, I’ll have my best title tracks/albums of October out next. I didn’t want to overload that post.

I was thinking of originally talking about 5 artists on there, but I think I might have 7 on there. I guess y’all will just have to pop back in and see. Let me know your thoughts below. Follow me on Twitter.

Until next post,

Take care!
