April 5, 2020 Edit; In moving over from KFashionBias to Ash Talks Kpop, I’ve somehow lost my gifs for this post and a few others. So instead I decided to reformat a few posts to where it is mostly text with the music video below.
IU is one of my favorite solo artists. I have so much love for her, and I can’t believe she’s been actively in the music industry for ten years.
I was hoping we were going to get a mini album or full-length album for her ten-year anniversary, but we got a single. An amazing single called BBIBBI. So, let’s talk about the different looks in BBIBBI.
Look 1
I’m giving IU a pass/side eye on her sad attempt of box braids. I wish they would have just put colorful extensions in her hair instead.
The rest of her outfit here was cute. I loved the quilted patchwork design of her hoodie. I want something like it. Plus, it has pockets! I’m also a huge fan of the clunky sneakers.
Look 2
THE BEST look of the entire video. I see why they used it in teaser pics before the song was released. It’s so editorial and classy. It’s suits IU perfectly. I love this iridescent blouse paired with the long black and white skirt.
I could see wearing these two pieces individually, along with wearing this exact outfit to a special event. The sunglasses included. Those will be perfect for spring/summer 2019.
Look 3
And it was all yellow. This look is really cute. I love monochrome outfits and marching accessories like the headband and earrings.
I’m not sure if this was a dress she was wearing in this scene, or if it was a blouse and long skirt like the second look.
Look 4
This fourth look is kinda boring. I love the color of her sweater. It looks comfy, but I’m more interested in her sneakers. I know a lot of people hate this current trend of clunky dad sneakers, but they remind me of Bratz shoes.
Like the feet would be so exaggerated to match their heads, but they were still cute. Idk what do y’all think? I like that they have a cartoony feel to them. Also, we can’t forget the phone that says not my business. I love when IU gets shady in her music.
Look 5
I know I said look 2 was the best look of BBIBBI, however this look is my favorite. It shouldn’t be a surprise at this point in my reviews, lol.
I’ve been seeing sooooo many cute berets that I want to buy/make. Actually, this look would be cute to cosplay at KCON next year. Oh, and we have more cute sneakers.
Look 6
BALENCIAGAAAAAAA. I have some issues with the whole one brand one look thing that’s been happening a ton in fashion magazines over the past couple of years, but when it’s styled correctly, I love it.
In this case, I love it. This is another cute outfit that will be perfect for spring next year. I’m a huge fan of these knitted sock heels I haven’t found a pair in my size yet, but once I do, I will be wearing them as much as possible.
Look 7
Simple but cute. I love the use of complementary colors in this sense. As I’ve mentioned before, blue and orange is my favorite complementary color combination.
Look 8
And we’re at the final look of the music video. It’s my least favorite outfit in BBIBBI, but I’m picky when it comes to athleisure. Most of the time I hate it. I do love her sunglasses here and the way this scene was filmed.

Take care!
